The conference panels will be held in campus lecture theatres with full AV resources.
If you wish to use slides for your presentation we have some choices for you. We will supply an upload link for you to send us the powerpoint slides in advance of your presentation. This is our preferred approach. You can also bring your own laptop and connect to the AV system but please bring any connectors that you might need if your laptop does not have either VGA or HDMi ports.
We can also accept memory sticks but slides should be copied to the lecturen machine and ready to go before your panel starts.
Presentations are 15 minutes in duration, your panel chair will guide you on this to make sure we allow time for discussion. We do not ask for papers in advance, leaving you free to decide whether to use notes or a script. Your chair will tell you when you have 3 minutes, and then 1 minute remaining.
If you are presenting remotely, we will invite you to a Teams meeting and give you a time. Please join the call at the specified time with your microphone muted. A member of the conference team will be in the room and can chat to you during the other papers.
If you’ve not already used this platform before, we suggest carrying out a test call before the conference. You will need to share your screen/window/app to make slides visible. This works best when using Sharepoint. There is an addiitonal tickbox if you want to use audio, or you can use the floating tool when in presenter mode.
There is an eduroam wifi service on campus.
If you have specific access needs please do let us know, especially if you are due to present.
Please note that we are no smoking campus.
